Made in France, shown is Beauharnais bergere, plain fabric. Bespoke product.
Gilles Nouailhac has been re-producing since 1956 in its workshops in France. Products include chairs and sofas designed by the greatest cabinet makers of the 18th and 19th centuries. With the same concern for detail and the same demand for comfort, it also creates and manufacturers contemporary style armchairs and sofas.
The manufacture of quality seat is a lengthy process, requiring a variety of know how. It begins with the selection of perfectly well dried, quality wood, which will be worked on by joiners, cabinet makers and sculptors to create structures, shapes and details. Vanishers and patinas makers then use all their skill to enhance the wooden frames. Using traditional methods and techniques and choosing quality materials, upholsterers then fill out these structures, giving chairs and sofas the most beautiful finishes and the greatest comfort.
